Discover the benefits of choosing an artificial vertical garden

The world of architecture is increasingly embracing the beauty and practicality of green walls, living walls, and vertical gardens. These features are not only refined architectural elements, but also true works of art.
No matter the design details, each of our artificial vertical gardens captivates and leaves a lasting impression. Our green walls make smart use of otherwise unused vertical space, adding not only a decorative and calming touch, but also an ideal solution for environments with limited room.

Many of our clients—designers and architects alike—have wondered about the advantages of choosing an artificial vertical garden over a natural one. Thanks to the quality of our plants and artificial greenery, we are able to create gardens that are virtually indistinguishable from natural ones, both visually and to the touch, without any of the typical maintenance challenges.

Here are 6 reasons to choose a Carlo Civera artificial vertical garden. Compared to natural vertical gardens, artificial ones:

  1. Do not require sunlight: While it may seem obvious, this is often one of the main reasons clients choose our artificial vertical gardens. Many walls are not exposed to natural light, making it impossible for a real garden to thrive.
  2. Do not require irrigation: Natural vertical gardens involve two main costs—the installation of a dedicated irrigation system and the daily water consumption needed to keep the plants healthy. Our artificial gardens eliminate both issues, as they require no water at all.
  3. Do not require significant depth for installation: In some environments, making the most of every centimeter is essential. After more than five years of research, we developed a modular structure that is only 4 centimeters thick (excluding the plants), allowing it to be installed virtually anywhere—indoors or outdoors.
  4. They are maintenance-free and offer the ideal solution for those who don’t have a green thumb or simply don’t have the time to care for real plants. “How do you clean artificial vertical gardens?” is a question we’re often asked by our clients. Since our artificial plants are treated with an anti-dust coating, they are very easy to clean—usually just once a year. You can use a damp cloth or, if there’s only a light layer of dust, simply blow it off with a can of compressed air, keeping a distance of about 40 cm from the foliage.
  5. They don’t make a mess: Great news for those who love a clean space. Since they’re artificial, our gardens don’t shed leaves or drop soil—so you’ll never have to worry about dirt on the floor.
  6. They are more cost-effective: The price per square meter of our gardens is lower than that of natural ones—and most importantly, for the client, it’s a one-time investment with no ongoing costs. In fact, natural vertical gardens come with two types of costs: the initial installation and ongoing expenses such as water consumption, fertilizers, and regular maintenance.

These features aren’t limited to indoor spaces—they also apply to outdoor environments, thanks to UV-protected plants that withstand weather conditions for at least two years.

Our artificial vertical gardens have been featured in prestigious spaces around the world—from elegant hotels and high-profile corporate offices to pharmacies of renowned brands like Boots. Their presence also extends to iconic stores such as Dior in Paris.
