At the heart of the man-made island of Dubai Palm Jumeirah, within the prestigious residential complex One at Palm – Dorchester Collection, we completed a beautiful project for a private residence. We handled the design and integration of artificial green areas for indoor and outdoor spaces, perfectly aligned with the architectural style and interior concept.
Combined with designer pots, we used our semi-natural artificial plants with UV protection. They offer the look and feel of natural greenery without the need for maintenance, irrigation, or replacement — an ideal solution for a context like Dubai, where the climate is often extreme. The project was enriched with our elegant, custom-made Orchid arrangements, bringing refinement and character to the interiors. Every space was carefully studied to create tidy, welcoming atmospheres that are perfectly consistent with the home’s aesthetic.
Artificial plants for interiors
The main living area, the beating heart of the home, was enhanced with our semi-natural Ginkgo, crafted entirely to measure with selected natural trunks and a canopy shaped to the room’s proportions. This showpiece plant not only enriches the environment with its elegant presence, it also becomes a true focal point around which the furniture layout and spatial perception revolve. To complete the composition, Kentias, Agaves, and Strelitzias were placed in strategic points to add verticality and depth and to define the different functions of this large duplex — creating a natural balance between areas for relaxation, socialising, and circulation.
Special attention was given to the Made in Italy designer pots, chosen for their contemporary lines and premium finishes, harmonising with the claddings and furnishings of the duplex. The space beneath the staircase — often overlooked or marginally used — was transformed into a small, orderly, and dramatic green area, with a calibrated mix of heights and materials. The final effect is that of an indoor garden that enriches the space while guaranteeing durability and practicality, with no maintenance required.
Bespoke floral compositions
Beyond the green elements, the project stands out for the inclusion of custom-made artificial floral compositions distributed throughout various rooms of the home. White orchids, tulips in delicate hues, and small arrangements on ceramic or glass bases were conceived to add colour and lightness without breaking the overall stylistic coherence. These floral solutions — the result of meticulous craftsmanship — integrate perfectly with the home’s colour palette and help reinforce the elegant, welcoming atmosphere that characterises each space.
They are not simple decorative items, but true design tools capable of creating visual balance and continuity between rooms.
Consoles, dining tables, bookcases, and niches were refined with floral details that catch the eye and provide a constant sense of naturalness and freshness. Thanks to the quality of the materials and the handmade execution of each piece, the result is aesthetically realistic, long-lasting, and completely free from the typical demands of live greenery.
Artificial plants for exteriors
Dubai’s climate — marked by high temperatures and particularly intense sun exposure — makes caring for and preserving natural plants in outdoor spaces extremely challenging. For this reason, the duplex’s outdoor areas were designed with artificial plants with UV protection that guarantee resistance to sun, heat, and the passage of time, preserving the colour, shape, and realism of the selected species for a long time. In this way, the client can fully enjoy the terrace and outdoor spaces, always finding the plants neat and impeccable — even after long periods away from home.
The species used include Holly (Agrifoglio), Cycas, Agaves, and Boxwood (Bossi), selected and combined to create functional, scenic green corners perfectly in harmony with the outdoor furniture. Each plant was placed in designer planters coordinated with the residence’s style, ensuring visual continuity and a natural sense of extension between indoors and outdoors. Thus, the terrace becomes an orderly, welcoming oasis, designed for moments of relaxation and conviviality — and to enjoy the unique view over Dubai’s most famous artificial island.
